Christmas Eve & Christmas Day Snow

By · December 24, 2010 at 4:56 am

Here we snow again!

Let’s start off with the Winter Weather Advisory.  It’s in effect for most of Central Indiana from 1pm today to 7am Christmas Day.

Today accumulating snow showers will likely develop by late this afternoon.  Slick roads should be expected by this evening.  If you’re heading out to midnight mass, expect slick roads and heavy snow.  The heaviest snow is likely to fall from 10pm to 4am.  This evening 1-3″ of snow is possible.

Early Christmas morning 1-2″ of additional accumulation is possible.  Accumulating snow showers are expected to taper off by late morning, but scattered snow showers will still be possible throughout the day.

Total snow accumulations will be 2-5″ of snow with the heaviest snow falling from a line from Crawfordsville, to Indy to Columbus, and Southwest of that line.

Sunday, flurries and lake effect snow showers are possible.

Monday and Tuesday look dry.

Happy White Christmas!
