The hottest stretch of 2014 continues this weekend. We still have yet to reach the 90 degree mark but there are two good chances over the next few days.
We are starting off with foggy conditions over central Indiana this morning, thanks to the rain from yesterday and the light winds this morning. Visibilities will improve by 10am. It will be hot, hazy and humid today with a few scattered thunderstorms this afternoon. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s with heat indices in the mid 90s.
A few more isolated storms will be likely this evening with mostly cloudy skies. It will be a warm and muggy overnight with temperatures only falling into the low 70s.
We have a chance to hit 90 degrees on Sunday with partly sunny skies and light breezes out of the southeast. The jet stream will shift farther north on Sunday, allowing more heat and humidity to push into Central Indiana.
The best chance of a 90 degree day arrives on Monday, with partly sunny skies.
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday through Thursday.
Much cooler air arrives on Friday on into the weekend with temperatures only climbing into the upper 70s.
