Calmer Weather Today

By · May 26, 2011 at 10:32 am

I think it goes without saying, Wednesday was a historic and dangerous day across Central Indiana.  Click here to see the storm reports from yesterday’s severe weather.

Today will be much calmer.  Highs will hit the upper 60s to low 70s with a mix of sun and clouds and a chance for scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm.  Severe weather is not expected today.

Friday, highs only hit the mid 60s with a mix of sun and clouds and a slight chance for a shower.

Temps start to warm up for Saturday, as we hit the upper 70s, but there’s a chance for isolated thunderstorms.

Sunday looks mainly dry with highs in the upper 80s!

A nice heatwave is building into the state!  Another taste of summer is coming our way.

I didn’t see anywhere that you reported about the *apparent* tornado touchdown in Ferndale (southeast side of Raccoon Lake Reservoir). It’s a mess! It is apparent that there were circular winds that ripped dozens and dozens of trees down, wheat fields with apparent funnel patterns, minor home/building damage and lots of flooding. Also powerlines and trees twisted and down from Morton to Belmore along hgwy 36 towards Rockville.
More people in this area tune into Indy weather rather than Terre Haute.
