Libertarian candidate gets creative

If Libertarians were to adopt a mascot, like the GOP’s elephant or the Democrats’ donkey, what would it be? (See the full post to understand the picture that prompted this question!)

While preparing a story about tonight’s Senate debate at IUPUI, I was looking for a picture of the Libertarian candidate, Rebecca Sink-Burris.

I was pleased to find several high-resolution pictures on her campaign website, but this one made me laugh:

Libertarian candidate for US Senate Rebecca Sink-Burris

Which of course begs the question…if Libertarians were to adopt a mascot, like the GOP’s elephant or the Democrats’ donkey, what would it be?

  1. I think she is holding what a libertarian is, republicans and democrats. They are both fed up and they both want chaqnge.Libertarians are for the people, which some democrats and some republicans are very clearly for a few.

  2. Our mascot is the porcupine. The porcupine is a cute and cuddly creature who is friendly but nonetheless armed and ready to defend himself if somebody initiates aggression against him.

  3. Some state affiliates have adopted the Liberty Penguin, but the generally the Statue of Liberty is accepted as the official party mascot.
