Scattered storms popping up

Posted By · May 30, 2013 at 5:15 pm

Scattered storms are coming this evening and strong storms are likely across central Indiana after midnight. A powerful storm system approaching from the west will bring a threat for severe weather to central Indiana for the next 48 hours. The storms will bring lightning, 50-60 mph wind gusts and 1-3″ of rain. This system also has a history of producing tornadoes, so we’ll watch for that.

Race weekend forecast

Posted By · May 24, 2013 at 5:24 pm

7daymay24Race weekend is here and our chances for rain are increasing. We’ll have a slight chance for rain late Saturday afternoon and rain is likely Saturday night through early Sunday morning.

The moisture will also keep us cool with weekend lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s. Right nor it looks as if the rain will end before the race begins, so the “window of opportunity” is wide open.
