Get outside!  Today’s highs will reach the low 70s with mostly sunny skies.

Overnight, a few clouds move into Central Indiana with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Monday the clouds increase throughout the day, and because of that, temps will be limited to the low to mid 60s.  Rain showers are expected to develop as we head late into the afternoon and evening.  Less than a quarter inch of rain is expected.

Some rain showers may linger into early Tuesday morning.

Wonderful Weekend Ahead

Posted By · October 15, 2010 at 5:21 am

Fire danger is increased across Central Indiana today.  Highs today will reach the mid 60s with wind gusts up to 30mph.  Very dry conditions are expected, add the wind to that, and the fire danger is increased.

Friday night football games will be cool, but dry.  Winds will die down to come out of the Northwest up to 20mph, so they could be a factor in some key plays!

Saturday, highs hit the upper 60s, and by Sunday we’re in the low 70s.

Our next chance for rain, and it’s just a slight chance, moves in late Monday.

iPad for Verizon

Posted By · October 15, 2010 at 12:08 am

In a press releasetoday, Apple announced that the iPad will be sold
at Verizon Wireless stores nationwide beginning  Thursday, October 28th.

Verizon will sell Wi-Fi only iPads bundled with a MiFi 2200 mobile
hot spot device.  The bundle price depends on the memory in the iPad.

16GB iPad + MiFi = $629.99
32GB iPad + MiFi = $729.99
64GB iPad + MiFi = $829.99

These are the same prices of the iPad with the built-in AT&T 3G.

While Verizon iPads do not have a built in 3G, the MiFi bundle
has its advantages.

The MiFi 2200 is a portable broadband device capable of sharing
an internet connection with up to 5 devices.  It can run off batteries
or AC power.

So one little MiFi could provide wireless for your iPad, your
brother’s Android tablet, your sister’s iTouch, your son’s Droid and
your daughter’s laptop.

Maybe while everyone is online, they could carry on a conversation…
on Skype.

People Actually Listen!

Posted By · October 14, 2010 at 10:34 am

I often wonder if all of my efforts to get the word out on fitness are a waste of time but just as I think that, something always happens to prove me wrong! Earlier this week, I ran into a viewer who was sitting in front of a Kroger store eating lunch and low and behold she was eating yogurt that I had recommended on one of my segments. Her name is Ann and she said, “hey you’re that fitness guy on channel 13, look! I am eating the yogurt you recommended. I love it, it tastes great!”

She was also eating a healthy salad and was so happy to tell me that she was eating healthy and actually enjoying it. Little encounters like these are why I do what I do! Great job Ann, keep it up!
