Severe Storms Possible Today

Posted By · August 20, 2009 at 12:18 pm

We should see plenty of dry time today, with just a pop up shower or storm here or there during the morning and early afternoon hours.  Highs are expected to reach the low 80s.  As the atmosphere heats up more showers and possibly some strong to severe storms could brew this afternoon into tonight.  All of Central Indiana is under a slight risk for severe weather.   The main threats are damaging winds, large hail, and very heavy downpours.

Tonight, we’ll keep the threat of storms in the forecast.

Friday, there’s a chance for a few showers or storms, nothing severe is expected at this time.  The temperatures will be the real story!  Highs Friday and Saturday look to top out in the mid to upper 70s!
